Ah, I'm so jealous! What was the lineup of the band? Was Mathias playing the bass? Did they have a drummer?

Belle and Sebastian

I'm sure lots of people spotted this when they first heard it. I did :D
'The Blues Are Still Blue', a track (and new single) from the latest album, 'The Life Pursuit' contains the line, 'he's a part time punk'. Nice!

It's always a good question, and it's one that we've had over on the Yahoo group a couple of times in the last 6 years. My opinion tends to change, but today I've got for the pop-psyche masterpiece that is "Mummy", if only because it contains a brace of songs that mean a hell of a lot to me, "Magnif...

Comet Gain

I often see Comet Gain mentioned in lists of their favourites by other TVP fans. Can someone offer a recommendation or two for a beginner (me)?

Sounds great! One of my lasting gig-related regrets is missing seeing Heavenly in Preston in 1995 or so, thanks a fickle mate who happened to be the only driver among us. It still makes me seethe today, thinking about it. I never got another opportunity to see them.
