TVP's step up at short notice to play London's famous (infamous?) 100 Club, London, on Thursday 2nd October, after original headline act the BMX Bandits pulled out. 'But don't worry', says Dan, 'we won't be playing any of their songs!'

Plus support from New York-based band The Mood, Pat Fish a.k.a. The Jazz Butcher and a late addition to the bill - Adam Ficek, drummer from Babyshambles, who will open the evening's entertainment, playing an acoustic set featuring songs from his solo project, Roses Kings Castles.

Advance tickets can be purchased online from We Got Tickets

Dan on good form - lineup was Dan, TexasBob, Mike and Dan - and I joined in for about half the set on piano, backing vocals, guitar and bass (though not all at the same time)

Turns out all of us bar Kev had a go at the piano at one stage or another - including a welcome return to the set of "I'm Not Your Typical Boy"

Much preferred the set to the MGMT slots

I'm staying in Blighty whilst the rest of the TVPers head Norway bound - but I'll be wiv 'em in Italy in November
