Sad Day For Puppets are the marvellous Swedish band who supported TVP's on their tour there last year. They will also be playing Sonic Cathedral nights on the 22nd & 23rd Feb. www.myspace.com/saddayforpuppets

I spoke with Dan yesterday. He said TVP's would probably start at about 10pm and play 40-45 minute set. Sad Day For Puppets will follow TVP's.

f*****g FANTASTIC gig!

Had to leave after the TVPs finished which was so annoying, and they were gonna come back after Sad Day For Puppets :(

Met the band who were all lovely, wonderful to meet them in person at last!

No I didn't unfortunately. I filmed a few things but there was this girl stood behind me who I think filmed the whole thing. Watch out for that.

Setlist is a bit of a blur. I do recall the 'The Grocer's Daughter' being played early on, which raised a smile! TVP's began the evening drummer-less as Kevin Mann had been taken ill a few days prior (he's on the road to recovery, apparently). However, John (one of the promoters) drummed part of the first set and for the second, later set, Sad Day For Puppets' drummer sat in. 'Happy All Of The Time', 'I Was A Mod..', 'La Grande Illusion', 'My New Tattoo', 'Walk Towards The Light', were played... can't remember what else.. Sad Day For Puppets were excellent and very well received by the audience!

Velvet Underground, Knock It All Down, Don't Fear The Reaper, What Goes On. They were all played in the first set along with some of the other ones you mentioned.

I've stood in for Kev a couple of times this year, but I couldn't make Herne Hill as I was in Germany playing gigs with Jowe.

Damn! OK - We are now two bands in one - Jowe Head & The Demi-Monde - and Valerie and her Week of Wonders - the same people but Cath sings her songs instead of Jowe in the Valerie line-up - in fact the December gig was where the Valerie lineup made its debut.

Since then.....

Both lineups have played together at
Feb 14 - The Plough Inn Walthamstow, London
Feb 21 - Nil Kub, Potsdam
Feb 22 - Live at Dot, Kreuzberg, Berlin

In between Jowe Head and the Demi-Monde played on their own on

Feb 15 - The Grosvenor, Stockwell (Resonance FM benefit)

The Demi-Monde - no Valerie set - will play on March 27th at the Canterbury Arms, Brixton

Hope that clears that up - sorry!
