Right now, it's "King and Country" (live) from "Chocolat Art".

'Geoffrey Ingram', because of a compilation for a friend: a collection of songs in alphabetical order played by favourite bands. Of course there were 26 TVP songs in first state... but then I couldn't find the 'X'. Lucky Dan???

My Dark Places. The older recording that was up for download before the album came out. Great song.

"Plenty better places that we have seen
Plenty better people that we have been"

Do you know there complete lyrics for the song? There's a couple that I am lost on and I would like to record this for the next TVPs tribute cd.

oh, nah i've also been trying to figure out the lyrics but i guess i'm probably even more lost than you. well here's what i've got anyway.

me and my imaginary friend
we like to talk for hours on end
he doesn't drive a car
he doesn't bear a scar
me and my imaginary friend

there’s a certain kind of friend
everyone knows one
everyone knows one
there’s a certain kind of friend
everyone knows one
everyone has one too

my imaginary friend
is crying now
if only i could help him somehow

he likes to play with knives
[?] mind
me and my imaginary friend

there’s a certain kind of friend
everyone knows one
everyone has one
there’s a kind of certain friend
everyone knows one
everyone has one too

have you?

[?] i can’t pretend
i know him well
i know he’s [?]

me and my imaginary friend

'wear a scar', I think
prat wrote:he likes to play with knives

'There's evil on his mind', definitely
prat wrote:[?] i can’t pretend
i know him well
i know he’s [?]
I think it's
'His life is ?? I can't pretend'
'I know him well'
'I know his life is hell'

Yep, that's the whole bit. The recording in Jowe's kitchen.
What is it though?
The song builds up and slows down and tells you a personal story.
But what is "??". Mind you, it was changed alot for live shows. I still remember him playing this at The Knitting Factory in NYc. The ORIGINAL Knitting Factory, on East Houston where you went down into a basement bar and the ceiling was covered with bits and pieces of patchwork material. It was almost clausterphobic. The bands were upstairs playing in what amounted to a long hallway w/ a bar. Anyone who has heard that boot can hear it, but onstage he is Doing Things... Like sign language... people were mesmerized. He SHOWED you his imaginary friend. It was right beside him. Everyone looked...
That line....
