A tape of the John Peel show from Monday 8th January 1979 recently came into my possession. I was delighted to hear "Part Time Punks" played, sandwiched in between the Clash and the Damned. I've snipped out the song, with Peel's comments, and here's an mp3.

extra enjoyable download if you come from southend (like i do) and remember the game that john peel talks about after the TVPs - it was a very foggy night and 30,000 saw 0-0 draw. memories.........
